My Story
"I was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the home to Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I spent my childhood and early adulthood in Massachusetts, but in 2016, I made the bold decision to leave my city behind and move to the South. Looking back, that move was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The rising cost of living in Massachusetts had become unsustainable, and I knew I wasn't mentally or financially stable enough to continue living paycheck to paycheck—especially after struggling to maintain a decent job following high school. Life happens, but we can always choose to make the best of it.
During those challenging times, I sacrificed much of my "fun time"—hanging out with friends and extracurricular activities—to focus on work and school. I watched my parents work tirelessly, often just to make ends meet, and I realized I didn’t want to be trapped in a life where work controlled every aspect of my time, leaving me with little to enjoy life or spend with my family. I deeply respect the sacrifices my parents made, but I knew I needed a different path—one that would allow me more time for what truly mattered, starting with self-care.
After moving South, I immediately felt a sense of relief, as if a weight had been lifted. In 2017, I earned my credentials as a National Certified Medical Office Assistant. I also obtained my X-ray technician certification and enrolled in school to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Administration. In 2018, I started working remotely as a Medical Office Assistant for a mental/behavioral health practice based in Alpharetta, Georgia. Then, in 2020, I leaped into entrepreneurship and founded Monroe Tax Connect amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. I also began exploring the cryptocurrency world and became an investor in 2021. As if that wasn’t enough, in April 2022, the Governor of the State of Florida commissioned me as a Notary Public.
But my journey doesn’t end there. I have big plans for the future and I’m always striving to grow.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the beach, traveling, cooking, and indulging in delicious Caribbean food (I’m definitely a foodie), listening to music (which I find incredibly therapeutic), and cherishing moments with my loved ones.
I’ve always believed in making my money work for me—not the other way around. And I’m committed to helping others do the same."
